Doubt it given the global political mandates to kill off internal combustion engines.

Japan, UK, Canada, Australia, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland plus all the EU countries, South Africa, Algeria, Argentina....

It's, of course, not giving up on EV's. It's simply slowing down its investment.

GM still has a 2 year wait list of paid reservations for the Hummer EV. So many that it stopped taking reservations. That's their most expensive EV.

Then you need to back the F off of ICE cars

Internal combustion engines have an efficiency of between 20 and 40%.
Most of the energy from petrol or diesel is wasted as heat and noise.

Pete, petrol and conventional diesel will inevitably run out.
An alternative is needed.

I'm not saying that lithium ion is the viable alternative (it isn't), but governments around the world have decided to kill off conventional internal combustion engine production.

What do you think will replace fossil fuels, in the long term?

Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. The enviro-nazis are pushing their schemes on us before they are anywhere near being ready
