And in turn that's linked to the illegal drug trade.
Look at Portuguese drug policy, they pretty much killed off organised crime and despite having a bigger population than London, have fewer murders each year.
Australia despite having a Liberal Party, they're economic liberals, socially Conservative relative to drugs and it doesn't work.
Your libertarian party has a policy on drugs which could kill off organised crime's involvement in the drug trade and that would reduce gangland violence dramatically.

Australia has a drug trade.
Portugal does not.
Look at gun crime in Portugal.
The answer to illegal guns is not more guns, but get rid of the problem of drug crime in the way the Portuguese did it.

But prohibition does not work, does it? It just creates black markets, all those gangs and some of the illegal immigrants you complain about are involved.
Police in corrupt countries are involved.
Some police in countries like yours and mine are involved.

Drug deaths are happening despite prohibition but also you have a problem of shoplifting junkies, burglars, muggers.
Portugal has decimated organised crime and with it, there's far less shoplifting, far less burglaries, far fewer muggers, and there are no illegal guns being used to kill people.
